After I already took you with me to my little trip to Paris, I would now give you some yummy insights to my culinary experiences. Before I traveled Paris, I could not imagine to find fulfilment in the French Cuisine. I mean frog legs and oyster? Come on… But I have been disabused! You can get a lot of great food in Paris at each corner. A happy me was eating all the time. Can be something better than enjoying good food in one of the most beautiful cities on earth?
So today I want to show you some food highlights from my trip. So let’s get started!
Ok lets start with the most important food spot: Patisseries… or in other words: chocolate and other sweets as far as the eyes can reach. I couldn’t stop admire all the artwork made of nougat, chocolate, cream,… You will find a lot of Patsseries in Paris, but I can highly recommend the one called “„Gosselin“* (258 Boulevard Saint-Germain or 123 Rue Saint Honoré). You shouldn’t miss those beautiful counters und colorful sweets.
In case you wanna try some typical french dishes, you should visit „Le Boullon Chartier“*. They offer some typical food in a really nice location with fair prices. As I got the menu in French I have chosen my dinner randomly as I don’t speak French at all. I mean why not? A little surprise at your plate can not harm, right? And I didn’t get disappointed. You also have the chance to try the typical French snails.
Of course a Paris trp should include Crepe! For that I found a really cute Creperie, which offers delicious crepes and which also offer a great show of preparing it. A big recommendation, so please go to La Droguerie“ * (56 Rue des Rosiers).
Breakfast in Paris is more solid than we used to have in Germany, where breakfast culture is a huge topic. Nevertheless it’s not too bad to start your day with a coffee and fresh croissants. Sounds simple but is tasty and the best: You will have enough space for some additional treats. For breakfast I can recommend Cafe „Le Pain Quotidien Marais“ * (18 Rue des Archives) with a cozy and stylish interior and nice stuff.
As already mentioned in my Paris blog post, I loved the dinner at „L’Alivi“ * (27 Rue du Roi de Sicile), a cute and beautiful italian restaurant with tasty food and nice stuff.
I hope you enjoyed reading the post and maybe you can check out my recommendations one day 🙂
