I have been for several times in Prag, but I am always happy to spend some days in this beautiful city. There is nothing better than strolling along the cozy streets, eating Tredlnik and enjoying the view over the river.
In August I spent a great weekend in Prag and of course I would like to share my impressions with you. Even ist been a while, I hope you will enoy my new blog post.
Where to sleep?
Each time I am traveling to Prag, I try to discover a new neighbourhood and book an Airbnb flat in a new area. This time I found an apartement in „Ziskov“, an eastern part oft he city away from all the tourist spots. I really enjoyed the silence of this area, which offers a lot of nice cafes and beautiful streets. You can easily take a tram to the city center, which only takes 10-20 min.
For those guys, who are more interested in accommodations close to the city centre, I can recommend the hotel „Hotel Suite Home“*, which offers nice suites with roof tops and great views over the city!
Where to eat?
I already have some favorite restaurants, which I would like to introduce to you:
La Bottega Gastronomica*
I am so in love with this place! When entering this cute bistro, you already see the long counter full of delicacies and hundreds of wine bottles. The nice stuff makes the stay even better. I can recommend the Granola breakfast, but also everything else. It’s hard to make a decision!
Coffee Corner Bakery*
I discovered this cute cafe on my latest trip. Its such a cute and cozy place, where you can relax from your walk through the Zizkov area. The carrot cake is delicious!
U Fleku* – Traditional Cuisine
Whos doesn’t know this famous beer garden? Even it’s a bit crowded sometimes, the lovely backyard, the homemade beer and typical czech dishes are worth a visit!
Certovka* – best views
You can find this hidden restaurant behind the narrowest street oft he city, which you can only enter by waiting until the pedestrian light are green as only one person can enter the street. The restaurant offers nice tables at the waterfront with great view oft he river and Charles Bridge. Even if the food is not that great, ist a very nice spot to relax the view with a cold glas of coke.
PiknikPark*
This italian restaurant is close to the Kampa Parc and is situated in ga reen area. A perfect place to enjoy some good Bruschetta and a homemade limonade.
Die Hemingway Bar* – best Cocktails and stylish location
This bar offers everything you need. Great drinks, little cozy tables, nice swing music and charming stuff makes this place almost perfect. Highly recommended!
What to do?
The best way to discover Prague is a long walk along the city market to the Charles Bridge, vieiwing the river and visit the Radschin. You can discover beautifuls buildings and views in each corner. I am really in love with this city and hope, you will also visit and enjoy Prague 😊
